Somewhere in between releasing albums, making movies, raising children, looking stunning on red carpets, and (sigh…) twerking, a handful of celebrities actually find time, and money, to give to those in need. In honor of these charitable stars, DoSomething.org has released its sixth annual “Top 20 Celebs Gone Good” list.

Coming in at number one (for the second year in a row) is Taylor Swift, who — to celebrate her 24th birthday — gave $100,000 of her own money to The Nashville Symphony. She rounded out her efforts with an impromptu performance of “Livin’ on a Prayer” alongside Bon Jovi and Prince William at the Winter White Gala in London to help homeless youth.

Sliding into second place is One Direction. The boy band kicked off 2013 with a volunteer trip one-direction-introto Ghana to support the U.K. charity Comic Relief, but they weren’t done yet. Taylor Swift’s ex, Harry Styles, joined Liam Payne to raise a whopping $800,000 for Prizeo for Trekstock, a London-based nonprofit that supports cancer research.

Beyoncé clocks in at number three, followed by the late Paul Walker in fourth. On the very day of his fatal car crash, the “Fast & Furious” star had co-hosted a charity event for victims of the typhoon in the Philippines. What’s more, a portion of the proceeds from the DVD sales of “Fast & Furious 6? will benefit Walker’s non-profit organization Reach Out WorldWide, which provides relief to those affected by disasters. In that way, his legacy will live on.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis took the fifth spot for their bold move to challenge the hip-hop community to embrace a culture of acceptance with their song, “Same Love” (which was coined “Best Video with a Social Message” at the MTV Music Video Awards back in August).

Rounding out the top 10 are “Gravity” star Sandra Bullock, “Scandal”‘s Kerry Washington, “The Vampire Diaries’” Ian Somerhalder, host-turned-mogul Ryan Seacrest, and — last but certainly not least — country crooner Carrie Underwood, who supported those affected by the devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma.

And we have to give a shout out to 2013 it-girl Jennifer Lawrence, who not only starred in two of the year’s biggest hits (“Catching Fire” and “American Hustle,” in case you’ve been living under a rock), but also nabbed the 11th spot on this distinguished list.
